The primary purpose of the role is to provide technical project management of technical engineering solutions, ensuring that these solutions are technically feasible, buildable, and cost effective.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Task Management:
- Ensure vessel designs meet all contractual requirements and specifications
- Oversight of the technical review process for the procurement of all main equipment and materials
- Oversight of dealings with classification societies, flag states and any relevant regulatory bodies
- Responsible for the successful resolution of technical issues with OEMs, Client, Classification Societies and Flag states

- Ensure technical proposal write up is accurate and according to latest rules and regulations
- Source, negotiate and obtain best prices and quotes from vendors and subcontractors
- Review terms and conditions of subcontractors and vendors quotes
- Submit and perform ship building projects cost estimation for management approval
- Understand shipbuilding process, classification societies regulations and statutory rules
- Prepare well written detailed technical specifications write up proposal for new build aluminium and steel vessels
- Study projects specification to understand customer’s requirement by identifying project requirements, labour, and material costs
- Interpret blueprints and analyse related applicable documents to prepare estimates

The Electrical Designer works with a team of engineers and electricians who coordinate and carry out all onboard / yard tasks related to the new build, repair, and improvement of the electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Work with project engineers to define electrical & electronic system design specifications
- Validates electrical designs and technical data for ship systems
- Manage external vendor and contractors to deliver systems that meet design specification and regulatory regulations
