  • Commercial Estimator (Shipbuilding)
    Location: Singapore
    Reports to: Senior Estimator
    Position available: One
    Job Description:This is a full-time position.
    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
    • Ensure technical proposal write up is accurate and according to latest rules and regulations
    • Source, negotiate and obtain best prices and quotes from vendors and subcontractors
    • Review terms and conditions of subcontractors and vendors quotes
    • Submit and perform ship building projects cost estimation for management approval
    • Understand shipbuilding process, classification societies regulations and statutory rules
    • Prepare well written detailed technical specifications write up proposal for new build aluminium and steel vessels
    • Study projects specification to understand customer’s requirement by identifying project requirements, labour, and material costs
    • Interpret blueprints and analyse related applicable documents to prepare estimates
    • Work closely with vendors, sub-contractors, engineers, and naval architects, external ship designer and classification societies during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy
    • Adhere to company standard and guidelines when providing cost estimate focusing on maximising profit while mitigate any potential risks to the company
    • Cash flow budgeting
    • Assist sales team in tender preparation transactions
    • Support sale teams with project pricing in a timely manner
    • Maintain thorough records of all project documentation
    • Any Ad-hoc tasks
    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requisites:
    • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role with proven track record within similar industry (Engineering, Ship Building, Heavy Manufacturing, Oil & Gas)
    • Past experience in new build aluminium vessel cost estimate and ability to write shipbuilding technical specification is highly desirable

    • Able to perform multi-task under fast pace environment yet maintaining accuracy in cost estimate and technical proposal
    • Critical-thinker and problem solver
    • Experience in the management of commercial and defence shipbuilding proposals

    • Formal management or engineering qualifications highly desirable

  • Business Development Manager - Middle East
    Location: Middle East
    Reports to: General Manager, Commercial
    Position available: One
    Job Description: This is a full-time position
    • Be responsible for and provide leadership of all business development activity internationally inclusive of meeting sales objectives set by the sales & marketing department and executive team in conjunction with the strategic road map and business plan
    • Understand the entire shipbuilding process and supply chain
    • Review project costing, shipbuilding and charter contracts
    • Negotiate with customer
    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
    • Set target and identify new opportunity and business
    • Generate leads in the region (“The Middle East”)
    • Develop new clients and follow up on sales opportunities
    • Conduct sales visits and give company presentations when required
    • Attend trade shows and other networking opportunities
    • Maintain sales enquiry database
    • Assist with overall tendering process for opportunity within the region. Ensure all tendering is of a professional standard
    • Attend weekly, monthly & quarterly sales meetings
    • Provides timely, accurate information on all tenders, request for information and prospect enquiries. Check & review proposals
    • Preparation of contracts & negotiate contracts in conjunction with the executive team
    Interpersonal Management:
    • Ability to relate & communicate with varying cultures, attitudes and chain of commands
    • Develop and maintain close, mutually beneficial and productive working relationships with key stakeholders / partners / clients who have an impact on the development and achievement of company sales and marketing objectives

    • Monthly reporting on sales targets to the head of sales and the executive team
    • Maintain accurate records of all pricing , sales and activity reports
