Job Description

This is a full time position and job-holder is expected to:

  • Handle a full set of accounts including GST returns, tax and audit matters
  • Ensure AR, AP, bank reconciliations, journal and general functions are performed in an effective and efficient manner

  • Prepare cheque/GIRO and journals for payments

Job Description

This is a full-time position and job-holder is expected:

  • To manage all Quality based technical inspections, criteria, requirements and services on project builds in accordance with Project Contractual requirements
  • To measure, monitor and report quality control standards relating to Projects, Products and Processes
  • Ensure project and production standards comply with relevant classification rules in accordance with specifications and scopes of works
  • Responsible for the Documentation and Record of all Project/Product builds (QC)
  • To act as a management representative regarding Quality issues
  • To engage Suppliers, Classification Societies and Business Management Compliance Agencies to negotiate, manage, monitor and report
  • To manage all QC/QA Employees within the Strategic Marine

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

The job-holder will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure Compliance to all Strategic Marine Approved Standards
  • Manage quality aspects of all Projects/Products within Strategic Marine, including Client Specifications, Class Rules, Contract Specifications and ensure adherence
  • Manage the production and approval of all Classification Society, Client required and Contractual Documentation
  • Measure, monitor and report on Supplier quality issues and adherence to Classification standards
  • Manage Customer Complaints/Feedback

  • Possess a Diploma/ Degree in Engineering, Science, Quality or Marine systems, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Control or Shipbuilding

  • Provide technical support and assist Senior Operations Manager in project planning and coordination of all site activities.
  • Prepare and revise engineering documents, drawings, risk assessments, method statements, safe work procedures, operations and maintenance manuals for all necessary works.
  • To issue final specification/bill of materials for purchase order and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure budget and terms and conditions of purchases are met.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of goods, equipment and fabricated items.
  • Liaise with consultants, owners and relevant authorities on their engineering request.
  • Plan and schedule work activities at sites in accordance to master program and ensure work is conducted in a timely and safe manner.

This is a full-time position and job-holder is expected to:

  • Understand all the requirement regarding government vessels to support business division such as Navy, DSTA.
  • Responsibility for and leadership of all business development activity internationally inclusive of meeting sales objectives set by the sales & marketing department and executive team in conjunction with the strategic road map and business plan
  • Understand the entire shipbuilding process and supply chain
  • Review project costing
  • Review of shipbuilding and charter contract
  • Negotiation with customers

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

The job-holder will be responsible for the following:

  • Main contact point for any queries from the government (Navy/ DSTA)
  • Set targets, manage budgets and identify profitable projects, business and new markets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of the international defense supply chain from elected official’s right down to equipment suppliers.
  • Develop new clients and follow up on sales opportunities
  • Ensure the company’s regional sales agents are performing against their agreed contracts with the company in respect to defense opportunities in their region
  • Conduct sales visits and give company presentations when required
  • Attend trade shows and other networking opportunities
  • Qualify and handle new enquiries
  • Maintain sales enquiry database
  • Assist with overall tendering process for the SM Team with tendering. Ensure all tendering is of a professional standard
  • Attend weekly, monthly & quarterly sales meetings
  • Initiates & coordinates development of strategic action plans to penetrate new markets in line with the requirements of the company’s road map and strategic business plan
