Strategic Marine, one of the world’s leading specialist shipbuilding, fabrication and engineering companies, has delivered a 36 metre luxury passenger ferry to Mary-D Enterprises, a leading ferry and tourism operator based in Noumea, New Caledonia.

The 36 metre luxury passenger ferry with a design length of 36 metres was built in Strategic Marine’s yard in Singapore. The vessel is an aluminium hard chine monohull incorporated with a 2-tier deck house with total seating for 196 persons internally and externally. The vessel will be powered by twin marine diesel engines and fixed pitch propellers.

 

The main deck of the vessel is designed with a kiosk area, dance area, baggage area and a seating arrangement for 108 persons. The aft main weather deck is fitted with a stainless-steel food preparation and servery area. The upper deck is equipped with open style seating arrangement for 88 persons.

 

He added: “This vessel will be based out of Noumea in New Caledonia as the shuttle ferry to bring passengers from Noumea to Amedee Island. It will also be catered for luxury evening dinner on board inside the reef of Noumea with its high-end interior design.”
