Jati Three Become Strategic's Twenty Fifth Vessel for Malaysia July 2009

Strategic Marine has launched the first of two Crew boats for owner Juragan Jati Snd. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of  the Malaysian company Dinastia Jati Snd. Bhd.

The “Jati Three”, was launched on Saturday the 27th of June, in front of Dinastia Jati and Strategic Marine staff members, guests & families. The vessel launching ceremony was conducted in the traditions of a Malaysian “Doa Selemate”, providing the vessel a safe passage to a long and successful future.

The vessel has a top speed in excess of 25 knots seating for 60 rig crew, over 110 sqm of deck space and a large bow thruster for enhanced manoeuvring.

“Strategic Marine is pleased to continue our strong business ties with Malaysia, with the Jati Three becoming the 25th vessel that we have delivered to both Government & Commercial Operators in Malaysia,” stated Ron F Anderson – Managing Director Singapore.

Strategic Marine’s Singapore Shipyard, has been busy with four crew boat launches scheduled in four months.

Dinastia Jati’s second crew boat order is schedule to be launched in September 2009.
 “The Strategic Marine Singapore yard is well renowned for specialising in the construction of quality crew boats since 2005, building a great deal of experience and expertise in the process, regularly delivering to clients ahead of schedule” said Ron Anderson.

In other news, Strategic Marine are proud to announce that they have officially purchased the lease for their Singapore Shipyard, further adding to the shipbuilders commitment to truly becoming a global player. This news comes only months after the decision was taken to double the shipyards capacity to meet appending demand for their highly regarded Crew Boats and Offshore Service Vessels.

With three other yards in Australia, Vietnam and Mexico, the company is currently constructing 63 fully-financed vessels.

The company’s Vietnamese yard, which has the capability to construct large steel vessels, was officially opened in February this year and has already won more than AUD$95 million in orders.

To date, the facility has completed construction of the 103m x 50m steel pontoon base for the Australian Marine Complex’s AUD$62 million Floating Dry Dock, which was shipped to Western Australia late last year. The dock is expected to completed at the AMC complex in Henderson within the next two months.


The Vietnamese shipyard is also well advanced with the construction and outfitting of two 143m Dive Support Vessels for Singaporean client Marfield Ltd, as well as 40 oilfield service vessels, four landing craft and recently began construction on the companies first tug vessel for the Port of Napier.
