Mazatlan, Mexico

The 23,900sqm facility in Mazatlan, Mexico is a joint venture between Strategic Marine and Mexican company Servicios Navales E Industriales (SENI), forged late in 2007.

The agreement follows the awarding of a contract to deliver two 52m aluminium crewboats to Blue Marine for its Pemex supply contract in the Gulf of Mexico.

Design and procurement for the two vessels will be undertaken at Strategic’s Henderson facility in Western Australia.

The vessels are due to be delivered in mid 2009 following a major upgrade of the facility which will be completed in 2008.

The facility has also committed to building two 52m crewboats on spec to meet growing market demand.
