Mexico Shipyard
Strategic Marine has forged a joint venture with Servicios Navales E Industriales S.A. DE C.V. (SENI) in 2007, to partner in the 23,900m2 facility in Mazatlan, Mexico.
The partners have remained focused on establishing a strong foothold in the Americas shipbuilding industry.
Strategic Marine Mexico recently launched the second 52 metre Crew Boat, the "LLuavi", for Arrendadora Ocean Mexicana (Blue Marine). The two 52 metre Crew Boats, 'Aramara' and 'Lluavi', has seen Blue Marine become the only Mexican ship owner to build offshore vessels in Mexico.
Furthermore, Strategic Marine Mexico's Joint venture Partner, Mexican ship building company Servicios Navales E Industriales, was awarded a contract to build two 35 metre Buoy Tender Vessels for the Mexico Ministry of Communications and Transport.
Strategic Marine's Mexico shipyard will be providing the Ship Building labour for the buoy laying vessels.
These Vessels are used to install and maintain over 700 Buoy's in the Gulf of Mexico and on the Pacific Coast, to assist in search and rescue missions, and surveillance work for Federal Marine Protection.
