Chan Eng Yew – Chief Executive Officer

Mr Chan is currently the CEO of the Strategic Marine Group where his responsibilities include strategic planning, direction and implementation as well as business development for the Group and oversees the day to day operations of the Group.

Prior to this, he was the CEO of SGX Main Board Listed Triyards Holdings Limited from 2014 to 2020.

Mr Chan was the Chief Financial Officer of EOC Limited since 2007, prior to him joining Triyards Holdings Limited in February of 2014. He led the transaction which saw the successful listing of EOC Limited on the mainboard of the Oslo Stock Exchange, being the first Asian company to do so.

Mr Chan served as an Assistant General Manager of Finance and Marketing of Ezra Holdings Ltd. from 2004 to 2007 and served as its Corporate Finance Manager from 2003 to 2004, where he participated in the project to list Ezra Holdings in Singapore (SESDAQ). Thereafter he was involved in its promotion to the Mainboard of the SGX.

Mr Chan spearheaded the Sale and Leaseback of USD500m worth of offshore assets and was instrumental in the first USD227m State Bank of Vietnam offshore loan in Vietnam for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO).

He has experience in listing a company in Singapore and Oslo, Norway and is well versed in the requirements of corporate governance and disclosures of both markets.

He served as Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking of United Overseas Bank Group from 1998 to 2003. He has more than 8 years of experience in commercial and corporate banking, having held several positions at United Overseas Bank (UOB).

Mr Chan holds B. Comm (Banking and Finance) from Murdoch University, MBA from the University of Louisville, Kentucky and Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Ivan Koh – Chief Corporate Finance Officer

Mr Ivan Koh is responsible for restructuring and corporate finance requirement of the company. He has been working with the Ezra group for 13 years prior to joining the team. He is an experienced leader with more than 20 years’ experience in the banking and finance market.  Before joining Strategic Marine, he has worked for established organizations such as Credit POSB, UOB, Citibank, OCBC and Caterpillar Financial.

Mr Koh is a strong sales professional skilled in Negotiation, Business Planning, Operations Management, Sales, and Strategic Planning.   Over the years he has developed and managed teams as well as conducted seminars and trainings for both internal and external customers.

He had successfully achieved many new milestones for previous organizations such as first syndicated marine loan of USD50m to a public listed company, first syndicated sell down, opened new markets in Vietnam and Indonesia for marine financing, resulting in increased new business volume in excess of USD10m.

Mr Koh holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Wong Chai Vei – Chief Financial Officer

Mr Wong Chai Vei is the Chief Financial Officer of the Strategic Marine Group. He is tasked with managing Strategic Marine Group’s accounting, financial and taxation matters.

Prior to joining Strategic Marine, Mr Wong was the Group Financial Controller for EMAS Offshore Limited, a company which is dual listed on the Oslo Børs and the Singapore Exchange.  In addition, Mr Wong was also the Group Financial Controller of Ezra Holdings Limited and he was actively involved in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Ezra Holdings Limited.

Mr Wong has accumulated more than 22 years’ experience in the accountancy profession, having served as Senior Auditor and Audit Manager with Arthur Andersen in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore respectively.  He graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Accounting in 1995 and is a member of The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Wayne Poh – General Manager, Commercial

Mr Wayne Poh is responsible for business development, marketing and overall monitoring of various commercial aspects of the Strategic Marine Group.  Prior to joining the Triyards Group, Mr Poh oversaw the corporate finance and business development for EOC Limited (listed on SGX).

He managed the financing for various FPSO projects including Lewek Arunothai, Lewek EMAS, Perisai Kemelia FPSOs. He was also actively involved in the commercial, strategic and contractual aspects of these projects.

Mr Poh holds a Bachelor Degree in Business (Economic and Finance) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Hans Randklev – General Manager, Commercial

Mr Hans Randklev manages Strategic Marine’s sales and business development activities and reports directly to the CEO.

Passionate about delivering the best results and cultivating relationships, Hans is happiest when talking and offering solutions to his clients.

With over two decades’ experience in the marine industry working for both shipyards and ship operators, Hans has full understanding on what is required to achieve successful outcomes for all parties involved.

Prior to joining Strategic Marine in 2015 Hans was a consultant to shipowners during their shipbuilding and vessel acquisition programs serving as Project Manager and Owner’s Representative for both private and government companies.

After graduating from Notre Dame University in Australia with a Bachelor of Business, Hans joined a Western Australian based international ship builder, where he served as Sales Manager between 2003 – 2007.

As a keen yachtsman, Hans has logged over 30,000nm onboard his own sailboats including a Pacific crossing and when he is not working you might find him enjoying the waters of Western Australia where he currently lives or the mountains of his native Norway.

Ryan Seah – General Manager, Projects

Mr Ryan Seah is mainly responsible for the corporate finance requirements of the Group and has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He held positions in business development and relationship management for various financial institutions amongst which are HSBC and United Overseas Bank in front-line business development positions.

Mr Seah holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Banking) (Hons) degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Wan Shi Kiong – Financial Controller

Mr. Wan Shi Kiong is the Financial Controller of the Strategic Marine Group. He works closely with Mr Wong Chai Vei managing Strategic Marine Group’s accounting, finance, tax and regulatory matters.  Mr Wan has more than 12 years’ of experience in finance, accounting and audit during his previous employments with a Singapore Exchange Mainboard listed company and Ernst & Young, Singapore and Malaysia.

Mr. Wan is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom.

Liew Shi De – Senior Operations Manager

Mr Liew Shi De has over 10 years’ experience in the marine industry in project management. Throughout his career as a Project Manager, he has been involved with the Operations Team, Commercial Team and After-Sales Operations.

At Strategic Marine, he oversees the shipbuilding projects, including the construction, commissioning and delivery of projects acquired by the Singapore Government, as well as other aluminium high speed vessels for foreign paramilitary and commercial entities.

Mr Liew is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Ng Ching Hwee (Michael), Project Manager

Mr Michael Ng is a trusted professional with over 14 years’ experience in the marine industry in project management and team management. Throughout his career as a Project Manager, he has been involved with the Production Team, Operations Team, Commercial Team and After Sales Operations / Services.

Prior to joining Strategic Marine, he managed newbuild projects with the Ezra Group and EMAS. He was the Project Manager for building several AHTS, 500-pax accommodation DP3 self-propelled barges. He was also the Project Manager for the Lewek Constellation, a DP3 Ice-Class multi-lay offshore construction vessel with ultra deepwater pipelaying and heavy lifting capabilities, at a value of over USD600 million.

In his current role at Strategic Marine, he is responsible for the construction and commissioning of several projects involving Chemical Tankers, Oil Tanker, Multi-Purpose Supply Vessels amongst many others.
